and how many of you love life?

The point of life is learning to be free. That means accepting responsibility for oneself and one's actions, which is something that most religions, political movements and philosophies run from. Freedom, in the physical and metaphysical sense, is hard, harsh, terrifying and confusing. However once you accept that nobody is responsible but yourself, it becomes far easier to love life because you realize what happens to you is nobody's fault but your own.

I tumbled into this when I was going through a desperate time more than 10 years ago, when I very seriously considered trading my life for revenge. I was hot for vengeance, because of what had been done to me by some very unscrupulous characters. The only thing that held me back was realizing that I couldn't determine the real degree of guilt--I didn't want to punish the innocent or mildly guilty along with the seriously guilty. So instead I turned away and took my fate in my own hands, and by doing so came to realize what an absolutely wonderful place this world is. It is full of interesting places and people, and when you sit still and think about it, the amount of good done by strangers all around you, on your behalf and without any hope for reward, simply boggle the mind. It's easy to sneer at the vile things in the world and feel a lofty superiority to all the idiots who drone on not seeing all the wickedness and cruelty. I'm perfectly aware of the cruelty that is all too common, but I'm also ever more aware of the kindness, sympathy and selfless good works that happen hundreds of times each day just within my own neighborhood and workplace.

And this makes life sweet even when it sucks. At the moment I haven't slept for 38 hours, I have a splitting headache, my nose just stopped bleeding about 10 minutes ago, and I'm writing this on a short break because I've got so much work to do I had to stop for a few minutes before the strain got too much. My house is a shambles because I've been working 13-15 hour days for the last 3 weeks, I haven't got anything to eat in the house except eggs and ravioli, I have no time to go shopping and when I tried to go out and get something quick I got 6 calls before I could get back to my computer and start working some more.

Now my problems may not seem like much to you, but they're a real pain-in-the-neck from where I sit. These are not big problems, true; they're just the ones crowding around me at the moment. I've been through things many times worse, and no matter how tired I am, no matter how angry and frustrated, I always remember what it was like when I first realized that I had to take charge of myself and my destiny. It's one of those moments that cannot be forgotten, and it gives me strength to bull through the troubles that surround us all.

Once you assert your freedom the whole world takes on a different color. Yes, color, not just grays and black.

it doesn't matter what is the point its like that this is the life and we should live it so why don't we live it happily?i mean I'm facing this year the baddest days ever but i always say that life is good because i am a person who see good things even if there were only bad things.anyway the dream to realize what i want gives me only the hope that i need.so ur right there is no point but we can make good memories with good people.and that's all that matter.and if u think deeply u will know that when there is no life there will not be u or anyone else.so even if we hate life surely we don't hate ourselves and that we are here.

I found the point when I accepted Jesus. But I don't love life all the time. I just see the point of the bad times as well as the good. It's good to know there is a point to it.

I have wondered this for a long time, and decided it is logical to believe in some sort of life after death. If we are wrong then it doesn't matter what we believe anyway, if we are right we earn bonus points with whatever higher being is there. Also it's less depressing if we are here for a reason.

i consider life as a challenge.. right now, i hate life so much that i really wana die, sleep forever... i have pain in every aspect and i cannot find a bright spot in my life. Its all darkness.. but then there's something that keeps telling me... "perhaps tomorrows a better day" everyday at night before sleep.... And the curiosity still keeps me here and i fight the difficulties hoping to see the future... hoping to see what a successful man I may become one day.
(i cant wait for that day where i look back at all of this, smile, tear, thinking how far i have come in life)

Just about all of us..
Some need religion to give life a point or to explain the point.
Some don't think it's that simple.
There is no black and white, right or wrong only how we feel. No one can truly understand all of us
nor make us feel anything.. It's all just brain how we think chemistry. I keep myself occupied.

I remember a woman once told me that her 88 year old grandad had asked her to help him to learn German. She asked why he wanted to learn German and he replied, "Because it takes a long time"

Maybe the one thing that makes you really appreciate life is the prospect of not having it any more.

I like my life, cause I live with a woman I love and who I know loves me. Sometimes bad or difficult situations arise and I get a bit fed up, but they pass soon enough.
