One month to the day after my 16th birthday. Back then (in the stone age) you could not apply for your learner's permit until your 16th Birthday, and it had to be done by mail. I mailed the permit application as soon as the post office opened that day!
I took the written (before computer) test and driving test one month later and got my license on the first try!

How long did it take from what? From my birth? 16 years. From the day I took the test? Immediately. Or do you mean getting the physical license with picture and everything? Two weeks from when I passed the test.

17 years. I didnt get them till i turned 17 years old.
