there's cliques but to me it was never as dramatic. you didn'thave girls like "the plastics" from Mean Girls. and there wasnt the chess club geeks from Saved By The Bell.there will always be more popular and less popular kids...but its overdone in movies i think. but maybe it was just my school

Yeah definately.
There are always these splits, all the way down to primary schools.
I've been to 4 different schools, and am about to go to university, and all the way through there have been the popular people, the ok people, the nerds, te geeks, etc etc.
I'm pretty sure that uni is gonna be similar.
My last school had many resemblences to Lindsay Lohan's school in "Mean Girls", I watch that movie and smile at how sad we all were!!!

The characters exist but the students don't stick to just their group. I don't see all the soccer players hanging out, and there isn't a specific popular girls group. My high school was really diverse, just graduated, so we'll c how my college is. There weren't really groups at my school, besides similar races usually hung out, but they weren't restricted by race also.

Sad but true. Stereotypes are based in reality. That doesn't mean that their aren't exceptions, but rather a common thread in society.

to a lesser degree.

it is very unlikely to be bullied, but at the same time i always keep in mind if you say hi to someone outside your group they proly won't say it back, to boost their popularity.

it's tough but once you find your friends you don't care!
