Yes. Wait until school lets out, go home, get on your own computer, and then get on MySpace.

Even if your work is all done and you're bored to tears, the smartest thing to do is save MySpace for home. If you try to use a hack or a proxy site to get through the school's Internet filter and onto MySpace, you're running the risk of getting caught and then booted off of the school's computers. Since you need those computers to get your work done, MySpace isn't worth the risk.

The tech people who block it are always on the lookout for ways to get to it. That way they can block the new ways. One trick that they do is watch the sites that people visit. If all of a sudden, a new site is getting a ton of traffic, they investigate. What happened is that one kid found a proxy. That kid got onto myspace. Soon other kids see this and soon they all are using the proxy. It does not take long before it shows up on their traffic monitoring programs.

The school I work at has the ability to record what you are viewing and what you are typing in the computer without you even knowing it. Most schools require kids to use accounts to login, so they can easily figure out which kid is on the computer. The nastiest trick they have is the ability to lock the computer so the kid cannot shut down any screens or hide anything. The tech people inform the principal at the school that there is a computer violation. They give the location of the computer and the account using it. Then the tech people give it a minute or two to allow the principal to get there and then they freeze the computer so the kid is caught red handed.

I only wish they also had video cameras to show the look on the kids face when he/she knows they are busted.

I can't believe how many ask this question without reading the answers to all the others who have asked. No one should even try and NOT JUST BECAUSE YOU COULD GET IN TROUBLE, but because of the risk it puts the school records in. Myspace is always being hacked. The Washington Post even had an article recently titled "Hacked Ad Seen on MySpace Served Spyware to a Million". Look it up. Personal information on all students can get into the wrong hands. There is a reason public places put blocks on their servers and it isn't only to keep their students and employees from goofing off. It's also for security reasons!

Circumventing Internet access control systems with web proxies to access unauthorized web sites is a violation of school computer usage policy. You will get suspended and/or banned from using school computers when you get caught. Use school computers for school work, and myspace can wait until you get home. Do you really want your teachers and school administrators knowing what you are posting on myspace anyways?

http://answers.egrab.com/links/myspace_unblock.htm is great for unblocking myspace. You can use it wherever you want because it's anonymous surfing.

usually using firefox alone can bypass IE blocks, but it depends on your network admin and what is causing this. Usually there are sites that will list active proxies if you require them.
