Theres one thing that always puzzles me: Why do Women have longer lifespan then Men?

Many reasons. A life span is an average number that comes up from men/women who have lived and died...obviously. You have to average in a lot of things like the fact that men do most of the fighting in the military (not that women don't but men do most of it). Men are known to have more alcoholic problems that can lead to death in many ways. Men are typically more violent and wreckless causing more accidental and stupid deaths. Women typically lead a healthier liferstyle than most men. You can go on and on. There are obviously thing that happen to wome more often than men as well, but that's why the lifespan numbers are within about 5 years of each other. All these things figure into an average lifespan. Back in the 40's and 50's the difference was a whole lot more, because women weren't allowed in the military and men were being killed in battles left and right. just look over in Iraq and count how many men die each day compared to how many women die on both sides of the war. It's astronomical. Hope that helps you to understand.

I think women just generally take better care of themselves and eat healthier foods. Also, if the rest of the men out there are anything like my boyfriend, they're probably putting their lives at risk doing dumb things like base jumping and going 90 MPH on a crotch rocket more than women are...

Coz men are sadder than women. Men want visual stimulation, women want love. More market for mens stuff. But the movies have women and MEN in them so surely its 50/50?

Because we're the stronger of the species- we give birth and take care of our offspring, whereas the males have to go out and hunt and forage for their family.....

1)Because in general, women are more concerned about their health than men, as men only go for medical check-up if there's something wrong with them... Again, as I said, usually, not all...

2) Does anyone noticed that drug addicts, alcoholics and smokers are usually men too?

3) Men couldn't handle their stress, as in women are more expressive in their emotions rather than men...
