Civil marriage in India is marriage which is solemnized under the provisions of The Special Marriage Act,1954,by the Marriage Officer appointed under this Act. This marriage officer is usually the D.C. or Deputy Commissioner of the District in every City/State in India. Now in order to check the records with regards to any marriage preformed under this Act in any district, you can check the record on payment of the nominal fee applicable in that district & even procure certified copies of the details regarding any marriage. The marriage between any two people of the same district or different district can be solemnized in either of the district any of them usually resides or should be residence of the district for not less then one month. In order to ascertain whether the required information of any marriage in question can be checked in the district marriage office of the place where both reside or any of them reside, but if they went & got married in some other district for the purpose of this marriage then collection this information means checking records of all the districts of India. There is no government website providing these details about the marriage preformed under this Act in any district or all district & you have to check this information in person only. This you may call this I.T. revolution in our country for which we all are so proud. Mera Bharat Mahan Enjoy Kare I.T. Professional Aur Dhake Khaya Vakil !
