This coming Sat will be our 17th wedding anniversary, and I am not excited about it. The last couple of years life and interests have change between us and I consider it to be a normal part of marriage, but as I sit here and think about it, I don't have the same interest in being married. I don't hate or dislike my wife but I don't enjoy or look forward to things the way I use to. What would your advise be, have you gone through this in your marriage?

If you don't enjoy or look forward to things like you use to, then change some things. Take her flowers and tell her you'd like a date this Saturday night. Tell her that things are becoming boring to you and that the two of you need to do different things to spice up life. Tell her that you really need this and don't let her shrug it off. Don't throw away 17 years. Ask her what would she like that would make her happier. And when she tells you, then tell her what you would like. Embrace change, because we need change.

I will tell you right now that you both need the Lord to guide you through this. Don't get weary in doing good and marriage is good and sacred in the sight of God.
