I agree. We all have to deal with a lot of crap from religious zealots to down right hateful idiots that want to insult us and hurt us. But that is NO reason to blame your bad life on that. I have had some bad things happen to me because of irresponsibility. That's my fault. For the most part, people are in control of how good or bad their life will be.

Sometimes self pity is the only option you see. But of course, that's not as satisfying as blaming someone else - anger always feels better than guilt. I blame a lot of people for the way I am, but I don't rant about it. I just wish things could have gone differently.
Not everyone can see very clearly, and we all need strong support systems in our lives to keep us functioning. : )

Depends on where they are. If they, for example, are in -- say -- Iran -- then I pity them directly, and their hardships do relate to their homosexuality. If they are in New York -- then they are just being silly. In the deep South -- somewhere in between.
Kind thoughts,
Reyn

There are VERY rare cases where degradation for being homosexual has ruined someone's life. However most people; gay, straight, or bisexual; like to place the blame anywhere besides where it belongs. Firmly on that individual.

I agree with you to a certain extent. I pity them somewhat, but only because they need to get smacked out of the self-pity. Anyone who blames everyone else for a hardship needs to look inside first.

Not just homosexuality, but ANY excuse people use to quit and complain ticks me off.
I'm not gay, but my wife and I have several gay friends, all male. I cannot imagine our lives without them in it. They are some of the kindest people we know! And they give kick-*** gifts at Christmas time!

I have never met anyone who did that ever. If I did I doubt I would have much to do with them anyway. I am not interested in whiners. Everyone has some troubles but your life is YOURS to fix or mess up, what you do with it is your blessing or your failure and yours alone.
