i agree which is funny considering they judged the season 1 vs. season 2 episode. last nights episode was just sad the type of food they had. and i'm saying that with no cooking skill whatsoever. i can even tell when the food is crap. but i can't wait until next week, anthony bourdain is back.

Actually the Chefs are more technically skilled than previous seasons and more accredited by the community as whole. Such as Tre who was an award winning Chef.He is not the only one either.
That had not been the case in previous seasons.
I think it must be the production of the show because something is definitely lacking this year.
Perhaps the selection process itself was flawed as far as personality went and it's making the show rather boring.
It is almost indefinable something I can't quite put my finger on .
I still think Season 1 was the best to date though. In my opinion Harold is still the Top Chef.

I think the skill is there but I find the personalities are not as dynamic as last season's. The food I think has looked great by the people are just kind of blah.

i agree... compare to the first 2 seasons, the cast of Season 3 don't have the knowledge or the creativity. They are not taking risks.

I think you're right and it's not as interesting as before. I still "must watch" but some thing's missing. I thought Hung would be more controversial and have the attitude of a Marcel.

Nobody stands out from the rest! By this time last year, I sort of knew who would be in the top three. This year, I haven't a clue.
