OooOh what a yummy question!

1. Armageddon
2. Pearl Harbor
3. Titanic
5. Gone With the Wind
6. Harry Potter (all flicks)
7. West Side Story

As you can tell, I rather despise BayHeimer flicks.
I thought Forrest Gump was okay...and yes I didn't think it was as great as everyone said. I actually thought it was a rather boring movie. I actually thought Borat was funny (but only at it's most disgusting moments). And yes I do agree with the American Pie flicks.

Forest Gump. It's enjoyable, but nowhere near deserving of all the hype it received while in release. And there is no way in heck that it should have won the Best Picture Oscar over Pulp Fiction. Pulp Fiction is ten times the movie Gump is.
Also, all of the American Pie movies are overrated, especially the first one. There were some funny moments, but people act like this was some instant comedy classic; please! Growing up in the 80's, the teen sex comedy has always been a staple in my life. By the time American Pie rolled around, it had all been done before.

A critic is usually more intelligent than the rest of us, and watches movies with a more analytical view. In other words, they take movies seriously, whereas most people dont think that deeply about the movie. That being said, there are tons of people who listen to critics. I do, depending on the critic - usually, the more established papers - like the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, etc.. have the more intelligent critics. Usually, these critics are looking for "literary merit". If you dont know what I mean, then dont worry about it - just go on watching movies that you like.

I liked Forrest Gump until I read the book! The book sucked so bad...did you know that Forrest was shot into space with an orangatang after he spoke at the anti-war ralley? The ape fell in love with him!

Anyhow...Titanic: Technical marvel, acting stinker, worse story-telling.

Gladiator: shoulda starred Steve Reeves! (a reference to the Hercules pictures of the 1950's) Otherwise-terrible!

Unforgiven: Worse Clint Eastwood picture ever!

English Patient: ZZzzzzzz..huh?

Piano Player: I'm so sure! The Nazis woulda killed him in the first reel! He's so clumsy he destroys all the scaffolds on this building...so he gets another job???? He'd get a bullet!

Anyhow, there's a few...

I loved Forrest Gump, it actually has a story. It has comedy and drama, one of the two best genres mixed together.

Borat was hilarious, surprisingly it had a plot..But, I wouldn't really consider it a "big hit"

All American Pie movies are good, the typical high school comedy.. Super Bad is better.

You should watch these movies:

The Pianist- Reality, the true story of a Jew and how he survived. played by Adrien Brody. It's one of the best movies ever, he played the part perfectly!

Braveheart- It has some comedy, romance, drama, all together=it's great!

Gladiator- You really need to watch this movie! Drama/Action

The Sixth Sense-
Horror/Twisty
It has a great ending! If you haven't seen it, you must.

"Pan's Labryinth" - I just didn't get why this movie was considered so great. It was okay, but I fail to see where the 'OMG that's so awesome' comes in.

"Brokeback Mountain" - Really slow. I had heard that women would love this movie, but I really didn't.

"Pulp Fiction" - Maybe I need to rewatch it, but I thought this movie was completely stupid when I first saw it.

"Little Miss Sunshine" - Hardly funny at all. I don't understand the hype.

"Jerry Maguire" - Blah. So overrated.

Scarface (the DePalma/Pacino one). Just plain bad. Poorly directed, poorly written, grotesquely acted.
