I really have bad cramps and bloating during my period, and I know I look really sick, like having a pale face, being quiet, and sometimes when i'm really in pain it shows on my face. How do I tell my co-workers/boss when they ask? obviously i don't want the entire office to know that I'm having my period, and I don't want to take sick leaves, because it adds up to more than 12 days a year. I do take some PMS control pills, but it doesn't do much for me... what's the best way to let people know that I'm okay, it's just PMS?

When they ask you what is wrong just tell them it's lady problems. They should understand. Periods are totally natural, nothing wrong with that.

If you are not already, try getting on birth control pills. Sometimes they help with cramps. Use one of those heat wraps that is for period cramps. Wear under your clothes and no one will know. Keep lots of Midol, Tylenol, Adivl...whatever you like to take for pain on hand and take it every 3-4 hours.

I used to have really bad cramps until after I had my children, now they are not as bad. But heat used to always help me.

Even though ou don't want it all around office if you tell two friends, they'll tell two friends and so on and so on. (You get the picture) Better to take some Midol and 1000mg of Evening Primrose oil a day, throw on some make-up and try to put your best face forward even during this not so comfortable time.

You don't have to tell them anything, just say "I'm fine, it'll be gone in a few days". Or just say its a regular monthly thing.

Just tell them your not feeling well. You don't have to go into details.
