I'm not concerned about the growth of Islam. People have the right to practise whatever religion they choose.
I am concerned, however, about the extremist hate filled rhetoric spread by the small minority of Islamic fundamentalists, in just the same way that I'm concerned about similarly hate filled rhetoric from the likes of the BNP. Two sides of the same coin.

Yes and No.Yes because of the hypocrisy of the English people.Knowing that Islam is a threat to all the civilized world, and Britain in particular, why permit them to stay in Britain, and wage war against it.Is this not hypocrisy ?The stage is coming to this extent that people of Islamic faith will be hounded out from every part of the globe.Likewise, the Muslims stay in Britain, utilize the amenities to wage war against all the human race. No,because I am an Indian.

Two of your respondents, to date at least, have made the usual mistake of thinking that Islam is just a religion. From our perspective in the west, it is a whole way of life, embracing politics and a legal system in addition to religion.
And yes, I am concerned: Only a fool wouldn't be. It is always the vocal extremists that eventually take control, whilst the so-called moderates let them, because that is secretly what they want anyway.

Its just a natural brainwashing campaign to exert opposite influence of the zionistic Jews that have controlled the country for a long time. The same thing is happening in America.

Redmonk makes the mistake in thinking that this country is christian. I for one am not and he is no spokesperson for me!
If you are worried about the growth in fundamentalist religions, go to the US and see the bible bashers.
What people choose to worship - or not to worship - is a personal preference, and it should stay that way.

Brits = liberals. Liberals = multiculturalists. Multiculturalism = suicide of the primary culture. From "al-gebra" ( a gift from the Muslim world before the Muslims decided to revert back to 7th century living) then, it follows: Brits=suicide. In 50 years, Britain will be covered in mosques. In 100 years, there will be no Christians or Jews there...all dead or converted to Islam. Pip pip...cheerio. Keep a stiff upper lip.

I don't mind Muslims. I do mind foreign religious leaders being allowed to preach hate and murder unchecked.
Wikipedia has a very fair explanation of the word JIHAD: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jihad and the bit that struck me was that Jihad is the struggle for the expansion of the Islamic state. If we take that to its logical conclusion, it has not expanded to its fullest until it has taken over the entire world.
If that isn't cause for concern, I don't know what is.

I am not only concerned with the growth of Islam in Britain, but in the whole western world . France has nearly lost their grip on things because of the problem. In the US there is a growing area in Michigan , (Dearborn, just outside of Detroit) where they have nearly taken over the town.
They are moving into the Philippines and Thailand in huge numbers.
Their 7th century customs and Shia Law is in direct conflict with the wests Judao-Christian beliefs. It stifles freedom and creativity and surpresses women and seeks to destroy or convert everyone who falls under their rule.
Unlike the West who are tolerent and accepting of other cultures.
This is our Achillies heal. We accept them into our countries and allow them to flourish, but we are excluded from doing that in their country.
Go to Syria or Saudi Arabia and just try to open a Catholic Church or Jewish Synogog...you would have your head cut off before the first brick was laid.
But here we not only allow them to prosper, we give them tax incentives. Now they're building foot washing stations for them in airports and schools.
I fear we will regret all this apeasment before it is all over with.

Yes, we are a Christian country but stop no one practising whatever religion they chose, but can we do the same in an Islamic country? the answer to that is no. I don't go to church but recognise that the christian church is part of our culture and as such warrants respect. mass Immigration is to blame for the large numbers of Muslims overwhelming us in numbers as well as our cultural heritage.
