I saw a weird boat on the Maumee River in Toledo, OH. It was orange and fairly small or stubby. The top above the waterline was mostly curved like an elongated bubble. It has a ledge near the water line. It was about 18 -25 feet long. There was no open area for seating, etc. Any idea what it was?

could be a "pilot" boat that delivers a pilot to large vessels entering port or a difficult passage.

A recycled lifeboat. Probably modified and more liveable inside.
