Post your name on your mail box and either speak or leave a note for you mail carrier, informing him of the names of residents at your place. Ask him to please only deliver mail to the residents you've listed. Hopefully that should work otherwise all you can really do is put them back out w/ note on letter saying 'wrong address' or throw them out.

I had a similar problem about 10 years ago. I ended up saving the mail a week at a time and taking the whole shebang to the post office.
After a couple trips or so, the mail died out real fast. Don't toss it out, you'll get yourself in trouble.

You can either:
1) Just throw it away.
2) Open the letters and find an 800 number and call them and tell them they are no longer at the address.
3) Stamp it "Return to Sender" and mail it back.
4) Go to the post office and tell them the problem. I think that they put out wat is called a stop delivery notice for that persons name at your address.

Write on the front of each envelope
"Return to sender, no longer at this address"
This will eventually slow down the flow of their mail.

Maybe you could go to your local post office and tell them you are now living there and to stop their mail.

Go to the Post Office and tell them that the former tenants no longer live there.
