Mine would be when buying a car, brand new or used, check the date it was manufactured, go back on your calender and check to see if it was just before a long weekend.
I work in the automotive industry and know it's true what they say about cars built on a Friday or Monday or before a long weekend!

best general advice, and advice I wish I had known when I was young, is that you can actually plan your life. you don't have to be slapped around by the winds of fate as much as you think. decide how you want your life to be and the kind of person you want to be and then set about making it happen.

My advice would be to always cover your @** no matter what type of work or profession you are in. Something always manages to come back and bite you there! So, document, document, document and then document your documenting!

Mine would be to not ask stupid questions like "If I have unprotected sex could I get pregnant?"
Seems like everyday I see that question on Yahoo Answers.
