1) Victimless crime laws (usually designed to make income for the state) would be illegal. In other words if their is no victim then their is no crime.
2) Citizens in America could open carry as long as they where legal to buy a gun. This is the case in only a few states Arizona, Vermont and a couple others.
3) laws would be designed to protect a citizens rights rather than take them away.
4) government would and could not force insurance. and people who buy insurance would be covered through their own insurance and those that don't are screwed. This would reduce lawsuits to '0'
5) Auto registration should be voluntary.
6) Multiple taxes and hidden taxes would be illegal.
7) Police would actually protect and serve not just ticket for income.
8) the federal government would be reduced in size and scope back to the original 7 areas of government. While the states whould have more control. At a state level our voices would be heard vs a federal level.

I would change the law that prohibits marijuana use. Thousands are incarcerated every year for the simple possession, and use of a recreational herb that is much less harmful than the legal recreational tobacco, and alchohol. Thousands die every year from tobacco and cigarettes, and even more die from excessive alchohol consumption. Yet an herb that has many medical and recreational uses, and kills no one remains illegal. It is no wonder that the U.S. has the highest incarceration rate in the world. Because of the uneven application of this archaic law, many minorities, and others face imprisonment for merely posessing this herb. You will never find an instance where a person using marijuana only, gets beligerant or combative. Only when it is combined with alcohol, or other drugs, whether illegal or prescription, will a person turn violent. It's not the herb, it's the other drugs that cause violence, and stupidness Yet this herb remains illegal. No responsible adult wants kids to have access to marijuana. What better way to control this than to apply the same consumption rules as alchohol and cigarettes now have. Personally, I have smoked marijuana for over 40 years, with no health problems. In fact the only adverse affect suffered by me is when I was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) years ago. Marijuana has saved my life! I used to smoke 2 packs of cigarettes a day, along with being an alcoholic. I was able to stop both of these "drugs", with the aid of marijuana, over 30 years ago. This would be the most fair and honest thing our government could ever do for those of us who enjoy marijuana, over other more toxic recreational "drugs."

Actually, have several laws that would be nice to get changed.
1. Cut federal funding to " Sanctuary Cities " that wont report illegals when they are stopped or arrested. Include the States that do the same thing.
2. Take away tax exempt status to any church or religious organization that harbors illegals. Once status is revoked, tax them like any business and they can never go back to tax exempt status.
3. Standardize speed laws. Some states require police to give you either 5 or 10 miles over the speed limit. Some states will right you for one mile over which to me, as a cop, is taxing people to support a city.
4. Tax laws, cut the crap, make taxes simple. There is no reason it should take a college degree to understand the Tax system.
5. Social Security - Even if you pay into a special retirement account, EVERYONE , to include Congress, must pay social security!!!
6. Term limits in Congress of two terms, period.

I would change the drivers license laws. I think the minimum age to drive should be 18. There have been so many fatalities in our area lately of young drivers. I think basically because of little experience. I would also do away with parent taught drivers education in our state. I would also like to change the requirements for renewing your drivers license. I would not allow it to be renewed online or by mail. Everyone should have to go in to the DMV and get a eye test etc... before getting their license renewed.

I'd pass a law making divorce illegal to protect the institution of marriage. The outrage such a law would create would make people think twice about how sacred they really feel marriage is and how much they want their government involved in it. Once the outrage got the law repealed, people would either see gay marriage differently or look and sound so silly back pedaling from what they said about deserving freedom from marriage legislation that their arguements would be used against them and hold no merit, or both.

The religious clauses in equal access/opportunity codes. I wouldn't dream of discriminating against anybody with a legitimate mental illness, but I think it's disgusting that we aren't allowed to use "willfully self-deluded and irrational" as grounds for a non-offer of employment, housing, services, or assistance.

I would outlaw any organization that promotes communism/Marxism starting with the ACLU & NLG. I would then go after all college professors and other teachers who teach it in a positive light. I would bring McCarthyism back because he was right.
