I have blood in my urine what does this mean?

I am very prone to urinary tract infections so I figured I had a normal UTI until I saw blood in my urine. I had blood in my urine for one day then I drank water and the next day there was no blood. Could this mean I have a UTI?

It means you should go see your GYN soon. Because it can be a number of things, and a UTI is one of them.

Blood in your urine is actually a sign of a UTI. When blood started showing up in my urine, I had to go on antibiotics, so you should see a doctor.

If you are prone to UTI's, you should be drinking large amounts of water and cranberry juice and making sure to practice proper hygiene by wiping from front to back every time. That will help as a preventative measure, but unless the blood starts to go away on its own, you will need to see a doctor before it infects your kidneys (which may have already happened).

The weird thing is, usually when there is blood in your pee you would have intense pain (because I remember!) when you pee. I know because I had that constantly through both my pregnancies (makes you prone to it) The water drinking could be unrelated, but there also a chance that it could be from your "bum" or even spotting- and not even mean anything serious.

Also if you could see the blood in the water I doubt it would be from peeing... usually that is such a small amount. I'd take a pee test at the Dr. if your worried- or chug some cranberry juice!

thats not good. go and c a doctor. i might be something u call cytitis. if ur used to holding ur pee, you get that. yellow urine means ur healthy. the clear urine or brown to red thats bad. try to see in the morning too when u wake up and ur urine bubbles. thats bad. go and see a doctor. youll know the best answer from them.
