Brian Bannister is, was, and has been the best all year.
Twice selected as rookie of the month already.
4th best ERA in the AL
3rd fewest homeruns allowed
.632 winning % of a team playing under .450
Bannister has gotten better every month. If he finishes the season the way he has been pitching he will win AL ROTY

If the season ended today, Pedroia. Now if Bannister can get 3 or 4 more wins and keep his ERA down, he's definitely the AL rookie of the year. A 15 game winner on a team thats going to finish 20 games below .500 and has the lowest era of any rookie pitcher in the league should take the trophy. He's already beat Pedroia twice for rookie of the month (and Billy Butler beat Pedroia once for rookie of the month, also) so I thinkk Bannister walks home with the award.

It could be any of those 3 players . I would not have thought of it in the earlly part of the season but Pedroia and Bannister have spokjen wekll for themselves. Unfortunately the kid from Boston might still hve the edge because of his popularity and he will be on a plsayoff team. Those that vote for the awards sometimes overlook the facts and look how his performance garnered them into post season and where they would be without him in 2nd place.

That kid from Boston? Shouldn't you say Dustin Pedroia or that kid from Kansas City? To answer your question...hands down Pedroia...the way he is playing it is going to be a race for runner up in the voting!

Pedroia's a sicko, he's definitely got to win rookie of the year. The plays he's made, his bat, my vote is Dustin Pedroia

Dustin Pedroia is that kid from Boston, and yeah I think it should be him...
...but I have a biased opinion.
The kid is batting over .300 and would be a candidate for a Gold Glove if Polanco weren't so insane at 2B.

Bannister? Is he still playing, I hadn't noticed.
Dustin Pedroia has already won ROY, they just haven't given him the trophy yet.

Bannister has been good. I like Rafael Perez but he has no shot at winning it.
