I'm listening to some Pavarotti recordings in my office and my goodness what a voice.

i think artists are appreciated by those who know their field of arts but when they die the media machine kicks in and everyone is trying to make a quick $$$ off of their lives. Such as coming out with new CD's, books and movie rights. That's the truth!!!

I truly appreciate many artists while they're still alive and I'm sure most people do.

However, while artists are alive people voice different opinions about them, but when they die people stop saying the bad stuff and only say the good stuff about them.

Vocal artists are most likely to be appreciated while they are still alive. Good graphic artists may be appreciated after their death because their output ceases and supply may not be able to keep up with the demand.
