I've had mp3 players but never an ipod. I want the new ipod touch coming out and was wondering if i could use songs from napster or limewire

Yes, you can import songs from other places and formats from iTunes. If you have mp3s on your hard drive, they will copy into itunes. You can also rip CDs into iTunes.
Re: the "New" Napster, that may be proprietary software that gives you limited access, so it may or may not work.

I have gotten many songs off of Limewire. All are able to play on my Nano. Just put them in your iTunes folder. And, make sure that they are MP3 files, not WMA's.

Yeah you can. I have my computer set to put everything I download from Limewire into my iTunes. As long as you have this option or at least remember to put them in your iTunes folder, then your iPod will play it. My nano does at least!
