Brian's answer confuses me, since neocons on this site are CONSTANTLY saying we're defeating al Qaida in Iraq...
I agree with Paul, actually. At last, a Republican is being honest.

(Specifically, pay attention to the part where Bush says, "It's hard to argue that al Qaida in Iraq is separate from bin Laden's al Qaida, when the leader of al Qaida in Iraq took an oath of allegiance to Osama bin Laden."
Sounds like a claimed link to me...

In the Fox News poll immediatly following the debate last night, Ron Paul was the winner. He touched a nerve with the audience. I think he spells trouble for alot of the other candidates who support this war. I tend to agree that Al Qaida was not in Iraq before the invasion, we drew them there.

So now its not about al Qaida okay what is it about? Brave persons are standing up to people throwing hand grenades at a moments notice but thats not what it is about is it? Iraqis want stability and electricity and a culture. Some think they were better off with Saddam whos fault is that?

The current administration has admitted that the Iraq war was not about Al-Quaeda even though they continue to argue it was about some unknown terrorist threat. Regardless of what this administration says, I would agree 100% that the Iraq war was not about Al-Quaeda.

He is the only Republican presidential candidate that I would consider voting for. He seems honest and in tune with reality.
Candidates like Paul, Gravel and Kucinich should be front-runners in the presidential races, not lagging far behind the ones sponsored by big business. It is proof that the corporate-owned media plays a huge role in presidential elections by shining a spotlight on their whores and ignoring the ones that are not for sale.

Agree. Al Qaeda was the excuse. The US's policy is to have a presence in the area of the Middle East, close to Israel and smack dab in the middle of all the countries we want to keep a closer eye on. I believe no matter who is elected to the Presidency next year, the US will remain in the area for years to come. (Unless, of course, Kucinich, Paul or Gravel are elected. Unfortunately, I also don't believe that is likely to happen.)

Agree.
This war is about obtaining a larger presence in the Middle East, controlling rogue states, protecting Israel and getting rich.

There could be a application for coaching human beings and instruct them that the yank purpose it to reason fitna and that they must be united. that's the worst era Iraqis are passng with the aid of. they should unite and think of for ideas to their situation extremely than combating for trivial issues. It was started on the pretense of terrorists aquiring weapons of mass destruction and protection of the aforementioned useful idiots including Saddam Hussien. George Bush (and friends) used our military to kill him. Simply scary.
