I started my business on Tripod.com, then upgraded as the money started coming in. But I also used Ebay at the same time, to bring in a little money and get the first few loyal customers.

Cards are a hard sell because they are fun to make and easy to do. They're also an impulse purchase so they do better in shops and craft sales.

I like Etsy but they don't advertise. Only the other crafters know about it.

http://etsy.com You'll love it! It's set up similar to ebay, but the fees are super cheap. It's not an auction site, btw...just a store. A bonus is that everyone who has a shop on etsy only sells handmade.

Have you tried Etsey.com? I'm not sure what the fee arena is, but it is only for homemade stuff!
