This man stopped me on the train station; he was cute and asked me for directions. When i gave him directions, he said i was looking really smart and it lightened up my day. He then walked off without looking back, i have not been able to get him out of my head.
What were his intensions; was it to tease me or....?

I've done the same as he did on a few occasions. When I did it, I had no particular intenTions toward the woman. It may surprise you to hear this, but when a man sees that a woman enjoys his compliment, it lightens up his day too. It's just fun. If you happen to see him again, say, "Hey, remember that time you asked me for directions?" Then remind him that he complimented you and tell him how it made you feel. That will get a conversation started and then you can see where things might lead.

Some people just have that nature - they like to compliment people and make them smile and feel good without actually wanting anything from it. He got his directions form you, gave you a compliment which you admitted lightened up your day - so all round you both benefitted! It's unlikely you are going to see him again so unfortunately you are gonna have to try to get him out of your head! However, if you are meant to see each other again - I'm sure fate will make it happen!

I guess he was just being nice. ( men can be you know ) I have told women they look nice, I appreciate it when a woman has made an effort with her appearance,but it doesn't neccessarily mean I am trying to get into her pants. If he walked away without looking back, I would say he was definitely just being a nice guy.

he was just being polite, so many people ignore you when you ask them for directions etc.... he asked you by chance, you were kind enough to provide him with the relevant info, and his way of thanking you was to pay you a compliment.

His intentions were to get directions. He also happened to notice that you looked nice. End of story. You talked to this guy for 5 seconds, and you can't get him out of your head? Stop living in a fantasy world and get out there and meet someone.

Although he thinks you are good looking , it might be that he fancies you but he has someone already but hoping to be friends and also hoping to see you some other times . If he is the one for u , u might meet once again in a better atmosphere. Get on with your life and hopefully u find someone else. Remember is not all about outward appearance. All the best

He was being polite and giving you a friendly compliment. Maybe if more people did this on a normal basis it woudn't eb such a shock when it did happen.
