This is really odd - surely this mean the evidence found points to them in some way. Otherwise they would have just been called in and told what was found and then explained what will happen next.
I'm wondering if they will arrest her straight afterwards so that she cannot talk to Gerry.

The fact that they insisted on talking to Kate first suggests that they are hoping to get information out of her so they can arrest Gerry.

it is odd,as they were planning to leave portugal this weeked.
they have already been officially interviewed so why now after over 120 days have they called them back in for another offical interview?
if they hadnt found the blood traces would they still want to interview them?
answer:probably not as no,as theyd have no new "evidence"
they even posted on their own blog how police have been watching and following them all day today

A sniffer dog was said to have picked up the scent of a body inside the apartment where Madeleine disappeared and it was believed that detectives were holding back a "key clue" that had led them to the conclusion.

i dont want to make accusiations but am entitled to an opinion and my personal opinion is pointing towards kate mcann.
i dont agree with her leaving the children i wouldnt leave mine for a second let alone hours.plus theres just something about her that doesnt fit.the way she speaks(rehearsed?)unemotional,i dont know.
but one thing i know is someone somewhere knows what happened to the poor little maddy.i just hope shes ok.

Highly odd! I have just heard it on the news and thought that as they have had some significant news regarding the test results in the room it seems really strange that they are interviewing the Mccanns again, especially individually and not as a couple which would be more likely if they were not regarded as suspects. The Mccanns were in the Mail today saying that they were shocked that the police did not inform them that they had new evidence and were close to arresting someone, the parents should not be involved in the actual investigation as it could mess it up. It now seems that they are being brought in for interviews....like I said, very strange!

I think Kate and Gerry McCann are going to be interviewed by detectives.
Thats what I think. that's the information I have, gained from the news and papers just like you.

The Mccann get a sparkling PR group this weekend and now THIS. The evidence says - blood, hair, smell of loss of existence. you could mess with one or 2 yet no longer all 3. you won't be able to brush aside the evidence. ok, shall we are saying is replaced into no longer them. there continues to be severe evidence of foul play. we won't be able to easily forget approximately this. we won't be able to stick to the emotion we ought to stay with the evidence. How do all of us understand with regard to the poice offering a deal or the police canines video. FROM THE MCCANS. yet they say they can't communicate. they are controlling a lot of what we see. The lst PR adviser have been pronounced by the residing house place of work. they have not yet been charged yet they are getting the costliest regulation human beings and advisors around. and then... blame the portuguese for changing the concentration from madeline. Please be rational.

unless they are in custody whats stopping kate telling gerry what shes said in the interview so they can get their stories straight, surely if they were under suspicion they would be interviewed separately but at the same time though, this seems really odd to me but im sure the truth will come out soon enough though.

Give the portuguese police some credit...the obviuosly need more evidence...if they get it from Kate she may be charged, Gerry may be arrested tommorrow...or later today....I wonder what not-the-sharpest-knife-in-the-box Justine is going to do tommorrow and for the rest of her life....???

Well, now that they are saying there have been significant developments, let's hope that there will finally be closure on this story. I would like to think that whatever happens next, it will mean the return of Maddie, safe and well, but sadly, i dont think so.

I am afraid after all these months this is more than checking out their stories again. Esp as they were asked to attend without each other and going in with a lawyer. Something doesn't stack up.

well they have not told the mccanns or the public the results of the tests yet they would have told them if the tests did not point to them think about it

I think you're right. I think the sh*ts about to hit the fan. The sooner this whole sorry saga ends, the better. Madeleine deserves some peace and dignity, wherever she may be. God bless her.x
