Myself, I rather don't. save money. It is smart leaving on a light though so someone thinks someone is home, I only do that when I'm gone late at night and i won't be gone to long.
If your curious because of the myth about wasting electricity by the power surge when you switch your light on and off, so it's smarter just to leave it on, It's a total lie. you'll only manage to save electricity if you leave it on for like 12 seconds, instead of switching it off and then on again.

I am just to darn anal about having lights on--drives me crazy---you leave a room you shut the light off---you leave the house you shut the light off---you would think people would learn.

Yes, I do leave one or two of them on when I leave. Mostly at night. During the day I shut them off.
