As most of the countries talk about planting tress and other methodologies
To reduce the effect of global warming, why can’t we genetically modify a
Tree/plant so that it bears leaves of very huge size, which inturn facilitate it to absorb or capture more
Carbon dioxide. Is this technique possible ?

I think that trees are more likely to increase the surface area of leaves by growing more leaves, not bigger ones.
