How much do they cost you per month? Can they support gaming? Do they come with phone plans or can you do them seperately?

they come with their own plans. Its like purchasing a new telephone but only used on your laptop. Depends on what plan you go for, but unlimited runs about $60-$70 per month. Plus you have to buy the card.

The speed is not extremely fast, so I would not use it for gaming. Its meant to get online and use for general usage.

They cost about $60 a month depending on wireless company. You can buy them without a phone plan but they too come with a two year contract! So be sure you really want it before you make a move. They can support gaming but are not the fastest connections so Ping will be higher. Also be sure to read the fine print on download limitations, I have heard of wireless companies charging more if you go over your quota. Just read the fine print and make sure you know what your getting first. Also remember that some areas will have a high speed connection and others will have a dial up speed of connection, yet again look over the fine print and look at the coverage maps.

There are "wireless" cards and "cellular" cards. Wireless cards come with no plan, and will work at any hotspot, or at home near your wireless router. They are relatively inexpensive.

Cellular cards contain a cellular phone, and come with a plan. They will work anywhere a cell phone works. The plan is pricey.
