Use a typing program. It starts you from the beginning. That's how I learned to type. I used a free on at Goodtyping.com. Your email is used as your name, I never received any spam or anything like that. Enjoy.

Of course, as everyone else has stated, the operative word is "practice". Whether it's in a typing class in school or other typing course, or just practicing at home...the more you type, the faster and more proficient you become.
The goal?
To get to such a proficient skill level that while you are typing, your fingers find and type the keys without you even thinking about it...in other words, the typing becomes akin to an "automatic" reflex.
Two important words to remember: Home Keys.

you have to master the typing everyday. i think your PC has a program for learning how to type letters with a timer. there is a basic typing and after following the letters/words that appear, you will be rated on how fast did you do it and which finger had missed the point. not all the ten fingers have equal force in pressing the letters, hence the computer will know which finger needs to be mastered. when you passed the basic, you will be guided to another level til you will be called the "master of typing".
*there is also available program that will guide you on which finger will be used to press a particular letter on your keyboard til you can master pressing the letters also without even looking at the keyboard.
<>if you have a software navigator, try to click it and it will display all the programs you have in your PC so as this kind of program too on how to type. I can't exactly point out this kind of program as my PC is not an English one. Someday or sooner you will be the real "Master Denis"!

Unfortunately there are no short cuts to typing faster. The only two ways are
a) Learn touch typing
b) keep typing using your style.
Touch typing is the fastest way to type, but if you continue finger pecking even that can become pretty good over a period. Just keep at it and you will get faster...there is no other way.

You might want to take a course at your local junior college. Practice helps, but practicing your bad typing habits just helps you type badly faster. (That's me)

practice for one, and another, is do not look at the keyboard when typing. It slows you down. if you put your fingers on the proper keys to start out, you will hit the right key when spelling things.
