The food in Orlando is generaly great but there is gaping exception.......bacon butties. What the Americans call bacon wouldnt be served at the worst road side cafe in England. Do thay call it by some other name or doesn't it exist in the USA. Do you know where i can get a real bacon butty in Orlando and whilst i'm at it a real big steak. Usually the biggest you can find is about 16oz in most restaurants but what about the 24 or 32oz ones you get back home. Best place i've tried was Charlies on I-Drive, got any better places in mind?

I think what you Brits call bacon, we call Canadian Bacon. Many restaurants will have that (and even McDonald's puts it on their Egg McMuffin)

As for mega-steaks Try Shula's near Disney or Barney's downtown.

Sorry, I don't know. I'm American, and as far as I know there are two kinds of bacon: the kind that's thin and crispy and usually has a lot of fat, and the kind that's really thick and hard to bite into. My grandmother and a few small country restaurants makes the latter, and you can buy the former at a grocery store. Sorry I'm not much help, I don't usually eat breakfast at restaurants. (Or do you eat it other than for breakfast? I bet you do...) Anyway, I thought maybe an American perspective on bacon might help you out...

when i lived in usa i used to buy 'canadian' bacon, it appears to be the part of bacon we ( the english ) are used to, not the long fatty /streaky part that is sold as bacon in the states. it tasted just the same as english back bacon. yummy

I do have suggestions...Americans are all fat people...they live to eat not eat to live. However if you get a pig you can kill it yourself and make sweet cured bacon. Go to the Everglades and eat a croc. I am really drunk so if you dont like my advise I cant help you later
