Fred Thompson knows more about the workings of government after his almost 20 years as a lobbyist and his eight years as a senator. Mitt Romney has no Washington experience, and was an absentee governor for most of his four years in office. So if Romney and Thompson were the two choices, I would pick Thompson. He's much more likely to understand the politics of completing our involvement in Iraq.

Not sure what you mean by 'complete'.

So far, Romney is the only one that has articulated for me that he understands the 'conflict' extends well beyond Iraq and is a global issue. It is a war that will last longer than you or I will.

Ron Paul is the only one who has said, out-loud, that military isolation and Fortress America is an option. Romney comes close. Too bad Ron Paul is more of an angry lecturer than a candidate.
I'll reserve comment on Fred Thompson until he gets legitimately into the fray and has to answer the tough questions in an equal forum with the rest.
His playing footsie with the media and the voters puts me off right now.
I don't like it.
If history is a judge, there is no profit in teasing the American people.

Mitt Romney is a Mormon therefore being a racist and a weirdo. Fred Thompson is an actor who works along liberal-minded co-workers all the time. Romney reminds me of the devil - he just has that look about him. Thompson reminds me of Reagan - which is NOT a good thing. Romney is relatively young. Thompson is old - which means we will die sooner. So, I say Thompson should get the job.

Neither one. Romney flip-flops too much and Fred's too lazy.

I'd rather have Tak do it.
