Wallabies, All Blacks, Springboks, England and France will battle out the WC. Australia have been down on form but I'll back them in a WC. Go the Wallabies!!

Interesting that you should ask a question and then get 'upset' when people give you the obvious answer!! You have asked who is favourite to win the world cup...... how can anyone other than New Zealand be favourite? Historically they are the most successful national team. They are the current no. 1 ranked team in the world. This year they have swept all before them other than in one game against the South Africans. This includes beating Ireland twice. Incidentally, Ireland have never beaten the All Blacks (a draw in 1973 was the closest they came), so for their sake, I hope they don't meet them in the 2007 World Cup. New Zealand are the current in-form team. Pretty well everyone who knows anything about Rugby will accept that the All Blacks are currently far ahead of any other national team. I think it was the French who recently said that the top two teams in the world at the moment are the All Blacks!! :-) Now, will they be so far ahead at the World Cup?? Who can say. Will they 'choke' or have an off day at a crucial moment?? Maybe. But, no one can possibly argue with a straight face that they are not the current favourites. PS: the All Blacks have never played a 'friendly' match in their lives!!!! :-)

Common sense New Zealand.
Anybody that says England should head over to the joke section, they have about as much chance of winning it as the Faroe Islands.
