I have been known to stick the DSL modem in my purse and carry it with me in that situation.

Well in either case you would need to take the internet away, maybe the computer. I say either because I don't know if she wasn't allowed as a punishment or it was outside her computer usage time or something like that. I would tend to be more forgiving on the latter but in either case you have to do something to show you meant what you said about when she could and could not use the internet.

If you're talking about a minor, remove all computer priveledges with the exception of homework that needs to be done on the computer. If that means changing the settings on the computer, or disconnecting and locking up the internet connectors, so be it. Of course, how drastic you go depends on the offense. Is it first time? Repeat offense? Inappropriate sites? Or just on when she was told not to? Make the punishment fit the crime.

There should be stricter guidelines as to what a disobedient boy or girl, is allowed. When a child or teenager realizes that someone cares, the "rules" no matter how complex, are easier to follow. What you would do is just put up a password that only you know, so that she can't get on there, but you'd be able to let her on during the time she was allowed.

my hubby takes the cable to the modema nd hides it...if i have gotten on when im supposed to be doing other things EX: housework he tkaes the computer from me for the remander of the week if its the end of the week the whole next week.

Put a password protection for login, and tell her that it is locked until she learns to listen. She will be frustrated that is right in front of her eyes, yet she cannot use it.

hey buddy use admin password or use firewall setting that allow only password operated internet access.... or u can change ur internet setting as u logg off from pc so other cant operate it....

i would think you could put a password on it but that can be hacked, so just disconnect / remove power cords when you go somewhere.
