Just transfer the given equation.
4x-y=2 will become
-y=-4x +2
Remove the negative sign by multiplying the equation by -1
-1(-y=-4x +2)
y=4x-2
*Thus, the answer in y=mx+b form is y=4x-2
To find the x- and y-intercepts use the answer above,
? x-intercept:
Let y=0
y=4x+2
o=4x+2
-4x=2
(-4x=2) / -4
x= -1/2
? y-intercept:
Let x=0
y=4x+2
y=4(0)+2
y=2
*Thus, the x-intercept is -1/2 and the y-intercept is 2!
Good luck and God bless!

first try and understand that in the form y=mx+b
y is on the LHS and the x term is in the RHS & so is the constant term
so, 4x-y=2
can be rewritten as
-y=2-4x (whenever u take a term from one side to another the sign changes so 4x becomes -4x when you take it to RHS)
-y=2-4x
multiply all terms with -1
y=-2+4x
y=4x-2
so in this equation only the y term is in the left, rest are in the right
and this looks like y=mx+b
wherein m=4, b=-2

just transpose the 4x to the other side and make y positive..
thus,
y=4x-2
to get x and y intercept,:
if x=0
y=-2
if y=0
x=.5 or 1/2

4x = 2 + y
y = 4x - 2
Intercepts are where line cuts x and y axes.
Cuts x axis at 4x - 2 = 0
x = 1 / 2--------- (x intercept)
Cuts y axis at y = - 2-------- (y intercept)

y=4x-2
m= 4
b= -2
x and y intersepts are the answers for x and y. to find the x make y = 0 and to find the y make x = 0
therefore y =-2
and x=0.5
i hope this is right

well, you want to get Y on one side right
First, ADD y to both sides!!. Right now you have a MINUS Y
on the left
4x=2+y
OK, o now subtract 2 from both sides
4x-2=y!!!!
