looking to remove original stickon decals/badges but want to be sure not to damage duco

Some decals will loosen up by being sprayed with WD-40, try that first.
If that doesnt work, go to a car parts place, NAPA or something similar. They will have products designed just for that purpose.
The paint under the badges will possibly be a bit brighter than the surrounding paint because it was not exposed to the sun as much but if you wax all the paint really good it will restore the surrounding paint and it will look much better.

Maybe you should try Goo Gone or a similar product. It desolves the glue of the decal.

heat up the badge with a hairdryer first and use a fine razor a good panel and paint shop in your local area will tell you how this works ring one they will only be to happy to help you with the info

Peel it off on a hot, sunny day. The heat "liquifies" the adhesive. If not, a heat gun will do the trick. Then follow with wiping it down with acetone (a.k.a. nail polish)
