I'm not too sure bout the doctors thing, maybe if you went to the hospital they could tell.
But I'm in exactly the same position! My partner and I have been TTC for about 1yr now, but have had unprotected sex for about 3 years, and we still have no baby! Strange and stressful aint it!?
I've been told to wait until we've been properly trying for about 18 months before going to see anybody! Some people get pregnant in one time, others it can take 10 years, even if they have no problems!Give it a little while longer then see your GP, that's what I'm gonna do!
It's so hard to not stress about it and worry about it, I know, but as I've been told, stressing about it just makes it more difficult!
Lots and lots of baby dust your way!
(Send some back-need as much help as I can get!)
Good luck! x

after 3 years of unprotected sex it would be a cause for concern. they usually say that if you arent pregnant within 12 months of ttc then go and see a gp. im sure you can have kids but it might just be difficult, there could be all sorts of things effecting it so the best thing to do is see your gp asap and see what they suggest. good luck, sending baby dust.

Hi if I were you i would go to the doctors and ask for a few test to be done for the both of you. He may have a low sperm count etc or you may have blocked tubes etc I really do feel for you as there is nothing I can really say or do to help with this situation. I hope that one day you do conceive and hold your own little bundle of joy.

Good Luck and Best Wishes for the Future

you need to go to the Dr and get refereed to see a gynaecologist who will in turn run some tests, to check your tubes, your ovary's, and your partners sperm after these tests are carried out he will then tell you what the problem is (weather it being the tubes are blocked, your not releasing a egg or partners sperm etc )and the best way to fix it, with drugs such a clomid (fertile drugs)

i know it's hard but the best thing to do is try and do a little research into infertile and see what problems there can be, so your prepared and armed with a little info before you see your Gyno.

hey I no how you feel I have also been trying for a year and was having unprotected sex from 16 and have not yet conceive, my dr said that I have pcos and that i dnt ovulate, so he perscribe clomid to me, i did it for three cycles nothing happen, now I am on metformin just waiting for a period now to jump back on clomid I pray this work, baby dust to you and me and every lady out the having difficulties conceiving their first born, remember the best is yet to come, and the Lord wouldnt put more on us that we can bare, just keep your head up and visit your Gyno and see whats going on with you, most ladies dnt no the battle and the frustrating we ladies feel who having problems reproducing, but dnt matter what people say nor think just remember there is hope and you would get threw it, just look at those ones who the dr told they wouldnt be able to have kids and they did, just put your trust in God, it might be easier said then done, because I feel like giving up on it, but in no time when you look at it, you'll have something baking in the oven

more then likely you can have kids. i was told that i couldnt have a kid after several years of trying. then boom i was on my way to being a mom. as a single parent i recommend you have a marriage. not a partner. it makes everything easier in the long run.
