While playing piano/keyboard, should we memorize fingers corresp. to each note? How is it possible when we change from one scale to another?

For instance, the major scales C, G, D, A, and E use the same fingering -- RH 12312345. There is no designated fingering for each note -- it will change depending on where your hand is on the keyboard.

If you are playing piano music, the fingering is often given on the score - this isn't set in stone, but it is a good guide for having enough fingers ready to play the notes you need. As you practice, you will learn to remember which fingers to put at any given spot, to be able to play that passage easily - you could say you are memorizing which fingers to use where, but it doesn't mean that a finger belongs only to THIS note and nowhere else, and changing from one key to another isn't a problem.

You should get used to the finger right position by practicing in time! The idea is to make moves easier.

not "always" follow the fingering given, cuz sometimes u will like to use ur own fingering. but most of the time it is good to follow the given fingering cuz make ur music better flows
