On 31stAug a good friend died at around 12.45,he was already to go to work when he had a massive heart attack,he was found latter on in the eve by his landlady sitting in a chair, the paramedics said if he had been standing he would have been dead before he hit the ground.
Since Mon3rd at around 20.45 the light switches have been turned off, there has been no one around them each time,it takes kinetic energy to switch off the lights.
2people were outside on Wed5th well away from the lights when it happened and it deeply upset one of them so that rules out a prank.
Try to explane it away.

Update Thurs 6th jammed a large piece of cardboard in front of the switches at 21.00 the lights go off every ones were abouts is known to me I go round to find that the cardboards been removed.
Fri 7th again I jammed a large piece of cardboard in front of the switches and jammed a broom against the cardboard two of my work mates [were a team of five] agreed with me that they could not move without help.
20.45 the lights go out again everyones were abouts is accounted for we all go round to find the cardboards removed and the broom is on the floor.
It will be the other shifts turn to do the eve shift next week and I'm wondering how they take it.

I couldn't tell for sure from your description exactly what happened. Did a light turn on?

If that's the case, I'd suspect something like a loose bulb in a socket. A little vibration (e.g., from a passing truck) can be all it takes to cause the bulb to make or break the connection.

Also, I'm not sure why a prank is ruled out. And if it's been announced that he has passed away, I'd also suspect thieves breaking in to see what they can steal. Check the windows and locks.

If I am reading this right you are saying that the lights are switched off and others have seen it happen. Where I am not understanding is were the lights turned on each time by someone who lives there and they turn off on whoever had turned the lights on in the first place.
If the lights were already on then it could be his way of letting you know that he is alright and has gone to the light or because he died so suddenly he may not even know that he has died and you and some friends need to tell him that he is dead, what happened to him and he will be missed alto by all his friends and family but that he needs to look at where the white light is and that he needs to walk into and he will be safe and you just have to give him permission to go and that everyone who knew him will miss him but he has to go into the light and have his family and friends who have gone before him, to see him and that they will bring him into the light to be with them.

After my mother passed about an hour later my cellular phone started ringing, I went to answer it and it was shut off.

A few days after when I would watch a program on tv the channel would change to a golf program. It did this while watching tv in my living room, then in my bedroom on the same day.

This also happened to my brother a few days later.

The last conversation I had with my mother was that of me questioning her as to why dad suddenly took an interest in golf, you see my father hated sports, she mentioned that he would like to play one day, so I mentioned that I would take her and dad to play miniture golf when she got better.

This is why I know the tv channel changing to Golf had to be a message from my mother telling me she is doing fine.

I believe this is a way for our loved ones to say were ok, goodbye, and are thinking about you.

tr had a good answer. It could have been a loose screw. It sounds as though the one asking the question has a screw loose.

It's your friend telling you he was there, and that he is alright. Pay attention to things in your life that somehow relate to him, for example a song keeps appearing to you that you relate to him.
