i think the main important sleeper would be Steve Slaton with the Houston Texans. His production for that reason some distance contained in the preseason has been magnificent - i think he often is the main useful rookie sleeper this 300 and sixty 5 days. i'm additionally leaning in direction of asserting Durant Brooks - a punter with the Washington Redskins could even have an quite heavy impact. For a set that replaced into doing adverse in punting final 300 and sixty 5 days, drafting the rustic's precise punter ought to considerably decrease the burden/tension on the protection. nonetheless Durant Brooks won't possibly have any fantasy fee.

Adrian Peterson might not be a surprise but I think he will put up big numbers in Minnesota also the Colts Anthony Gonzalez and of course Calvin Johnson of the Lions will all have huge numbers for rookies. I don't see any rookie QB's putting up big numbers especially the Browns' Brady Quinn because after all he is no longer playing against the three academies or the sisters of the poor that he played against in college.

In this order of "surprise" due to the round they were picked:

Jacoby Jones (Houston Texans WR) 3er rounder
Lammar Woodley (Pittsburgh Steelers LB) 2nd rounder
Anthony Gonzalez (Indy Colts WR) 1st rounder
Adrian Peterson (Minnesotta Vikings RB) 1st rounder
Calvin Johnson (Detroit Lions WR) 1st rounder

Patrick Willis of the Niners. I am a Bears fan who went to the preseason game against the Niners and this kid looked amazing. He has amazing speed for someone his size, can cover the field from sideline to sideline. Has great instinct, one play he read a backdoor screen perfectly and almost made a pick and even thought he missed he still made the tackle. He dominated his last year in college playing for a bad team in the SEC and had a cast on for most of the year. He has every intangible you want in a linebacker. Looks like the next Urlacher or Lewis and should be a Pro-Bowler for years to come.

First of all, no one taken in the 1st round could be considered a suprise. Second, there will be no Colston this year as no 7th round pick has a starting job at the end of training camp except for maybee Kickers/punters.

Here is a list of non-first round draft picks that will contribute some this year:
Round,Pick,Name,position,College,NFL,(string)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 34 Paul Posluszny MLB Penn State Buffalo Bills (starting)
2 39 Justin Blalock LG Texas Atlanta Flacons (starting)
2 41 Chris Houston CB Arkansas Atlanta Flacons (3rd)
6 194 David Irons CB Auburn Atlanta Flacons (4th)
4 137 Le'Ron McClain FB Alabama Baltimore Ravens (starting)
2 59 Ryan Kalil RG USC Carolina Panthers (starting)
4 118 Ryne Robinson WR Miami (Ohio) Carolina Panthers (3rd-4th WR, PR, KOR)
6 178 Nick Folk K Arizona Dallas (starting)
3 78 James Jones WR San Jose State Green Bay (3rd String)
2 60 Samson Satele C Hawaii Miami Dolphins (starting)
2 44 Sidney Rice WR South Carolina Minnesota Vikings (3rd String)
3 72 Marcus McCauley CB Fresno State Minnesota Vikings (3rd String)
2 38 Zach Miller TE Arizona State Oakland Raiders (starting)
3 76 Jason Hill WR Washington State San Francisco 49ers (3rd/4th string)
3 84 Jonathan Wade CB Tennessee St. Louis Rams (3rd/4th string)
2 35 Arron Sears LG Tennessee Tampa Bay Buccaneers (starting)
2 46 LaMarr Woodley OLB Michigan Pittsburgh Steelers (Backup/3rd down LB)

Out of these the biggest suprise is probably:
4 118 Ryne Robinson WR Miami (Ohio) Carolina Panthers (3rd-4th WR, PR, KOR) -who is currently ahead of Dwayne Jarret on the Depth chart, will contribute on Special teams, and will flourish in the Panthers multi-receiver sets with Steve Smith drawing double and tripple coverage.

Lamaar Woodley, Steelers He will make an immediate impact on the defense.

Brady Quinn, Browns He will come in after a week one pounding, and he will stay in. The Browns just do not want to feed him to the wolves.

Adrian Petterson, Vikings He looked good in pre season and will put up a 1,000 yard rookie season.

It sounds odd to say Brady Quinn, but I think he will surprise many people because I have heard so much negative opinions (not related to his play) about him.

During the pre-season he was picking u his reads very well. Also the speed of the game did not seem to bother him. These are the two most important things a new QB needs to do and Brady Quinn passed.

Once he becomes the regular starter I think he will surprise many. Most analysts have been saying he had a very good pre-season.

Watch out for Dwayne Wright in Buffalo on third downs. He won't start over Marshawn Lynch, but he'll be effective when given the opportunity.
