My friends (who don't work with me) think that he might had some feelings for me, which he didn't express by words. I'm still as single, friendly, & available as I used to...Why the sudden change in him? He's making my work life hell. I am perfectionist and he's not deligating tasks to me (totally ignoring me) :(

I love what I do, but I'm starting to hate it!

Changing jobs or departments is out of the question as I have some obligations this year.

I need short-term solutions to survive!

Maybe it's because you are a perfectionist that he is not delegating tasks to you. In some ways being a perfectionist is good & in some ways its not. Whats to hate your still getting paid, I assume since you didn't say this was costing you money, so enjoy th free time. Think of it as a mini vacation. Maybe he found someone else & doesn't want to be so close with you anymore for fear he will mess up his new relationship. Walk into his office when he is alone or ask to speak to him in private, & ask him why he hasn't given you anything to do for a while, has he just overlooked you or does he think you are already to busy? If he says neither then ask him what is going on? Be really nice & professional with him. Just try to talk to him & find out what is going on.

Set an appointment with him to talk about it. Tell him that you would like to have more tasks delegated to you. Tell him that you are a good worker, and love your job. Ask him if there is any thing that you could to to improve his trust in you.

Ask him. Be prepared to not like his answer. Whatever happens it should clear the air.
