Exotic supercars are like sports cars, in that their definition is based on perception. Some may consider the Infiniti G35 coupe a sports cars, other may not. I own one, and I do not consider it a sports car.

So is the Corvette an exotic supercar?

An Aston Martin V8 Vantange would be considered one, yet it's acceleration to 60 (4.9 sec) is more than that of a Z06 (3.9 sec).

Is it price? A Lotus Elise is considered an exotic supercar, costs only $60k, about $10k less than an Z06 Corvette.

So is the Corvette an exotic supercar? In my opinion...no....I think seeing a supercar should make your day better. Seeing a Zonda will do that for me...seeing a Corvette does not....

So is the Corvette an exotic supercar to you?

The Aston V8 will not do 210...it is limited to 155, and even if it isn't limited, as in the Jaguar XKR, it will only do 185.

I'd say it's a lame version of supercar lol if u compare the super car status with Zonda lol Pagani Zonda is such a sexonthewheels lol no wonder u'd want to call a corevette a super car coz altho it's a sports car it's quite frankly a hybrid look of sports car and a casual car lol Semi formal outfit is wat I'd compare it with hehehe....

Mmmmm, Corvette is plain Chigga not in super cars list...I feel Bugatti is a super car and superb too. I'd say Aston Martin V8 Vantage Roadster is more to my likes lol in terms of super cars. Lotus Elise is one good looker too and has accountable specifications which does make it a supercar...It's not just the price but the overall performance and the looks which makes any car supercars. The manufacturers name does count in but if the manufacturer is newbee but comes up with a superb thundering car he'd be a famous person in no time. So for me it's not just price it's the look , the feel and the performance which catagorises the car into it's supercardom status :D

Corvette is really not fitting that bill as such maybe on semi status.

The car magazines have lumped the Vette in with the other "Supercars." Still, it's hard to think of the good old Vette as an exotic. It's not a car that someone with more money than God would buy. Those are the people who buy the Lamborghini's and Maserati's of this world. They look for the McClaren F1s and such.

I'd say that the Vette is the only sports car with more than a fifteen or twenty year history that is built here in the US.

I own a Corvette and I have owned several in the past. They have been my favorite car since I was about 4 years old.

I still do not consider them to be an exotic supercar. Because they are mass manufactured they are not rare or exotic.

I think the Corvette is the king of the real world jungle. It's performance is in the same league as the supercars but I do not feel uneasy about traveling from my house in Texas to my house in Oklahoma, I know I will make it. Can the same be said for a Ferrari?

I have a friend who owns a Lamborghini; I love it but I feel a bit superior and smarter than him because my cheap Vette (a few modifications) will absolutely blow his overpriced machine away.

Exotic no, the best, hell yes.

It's a supercar. But it's also made by a major manufacturer, using standard mass production processes, and they make loads of them. So it's not exotic by definition.
