Hi! I am arriving in Chennai domestic Airport at 7:30 in the evening...I need to get to pondicherry...I wanted to know if there are any night buses (the good express bus) from chennai to pondi...Does anyone have the schedule? where is the bus stand? how far is it from the chennai domestic airport? and more or less the express bus fee to pondicherry? Thanks!

Since you are reaching in the evening, you could take a taxi/cab from the airport itself . From Chennai airport ,it is only 135 kms to Pondicherry.
Or else, take a bus from CMBT. Plenty of options. Buses leave every 30 mins.

You reach Domestic airport at 7.30 pm. You will get lot of buses from Koyambedu bus terminus to Pondicherry. You get buses upto midnight. Catch a bus that leaves late and you will reach Pondicherry early morning. It is not 3 hours journey. I will take around 5 hours in the overnight buses. Every 10-15 minutes there is by run by State Express Bus service. From Airport the bus stand is around 12 kms.
Never go by taxi to Pondicherry in the night. Taxi and auto drivers in Chennai are Cheats. Be careful. Bus fare would be around 150/= -

Chennai- Pondicherry (150 kms) and nearly 3hrs travel in bus..nd the road is also nice (ECR road)..
thr r frequent buses frm chennai to pondi even @ nite..
you hav to go to Koyembedu bus stand (main bus stand of chennai) to get buses to pondy..
its nt too long frm the airport.. you can catch an auto frm airport to hte busstand..(costs nearly 100-150 bugs)
(thr r frequent buses too.. but wil b very rush)..

Pondicherry is a lovely place. It is now called PUDUCHERRY. So look out for these signs as well.
