I'm about 35 weeks and I haven't found any stretch marks yet on my tummy. Do they always appear before birth or can they show up after birth, when the skin has gone back down? I've always heard that stretch marks come from constant weight gain and loss, so this is kind the same thing I think.

Your lucky, however most of my stretch marks especially with the first didn't show up noticeably till after the baby was born. (except the ones on my boobs but they went from a c cup to an f cup so there was no way I was going to avoid those!!)
The ones that I noticed afterward were on my hips/love handles and top of bum area, not really the tummy at all. I had a 9pd baby too!

It has also been proven that stretch marks can be a hereditary thing so ask you mum, grandma, aunts etc how they went with stretch marks. If they had none or little then you may be lucky too! Lotions/creams do help as they keep the skin supple.

Best of luck and don't stress about stretch marks, there is no way to avoid or get rid of them. They are proud mum marks!

initially, stretch marks are stretch marks. Doesnt be counted if youre pregnant or no longer. as quickly as stretch marks are there, they dont go away. If she have been given smaller they might look greater acceptable nevertheless. yet whilst shes no longer attracted to getting smaller then theres those products from Burt's Bee's called abdomen Butter. i exploit it everywhere I even have stretch marks so as that they optimistically dont worsen. It makes your epidermis so great tender and elasticy so it is going to circumvent stretch marks. sturdy success!

Getting rid of stretch marks is rather a difficult task. The most effective way to handle this problem is to follow a proper care routine that prevents their occurrence. Massaging on the stretch marks serves as an excellent home remedy for stretch marks removal. You can either use olive oil, flaxseed oil, vitamin E oil or cod liver oil for the purpose of massage.
