Can anyone tell me how to do this problem?

An x-intercept is when y=0 and a y-intercept is when x = 0. So it passes through the points
(-4, 0) and (0, -9).
So the gradient is (-9-0) / (0 - (-4)) = -9/4.

the point through x- interceopt of -4 will be (-4,0) and the point through y intercept of -9 is (0,-9)
slope of this line is= y2-y1/x2-x1
=-9-0/0-(-4)
=-9/4
