The American society we live in is so weird. I was flipping through the channels when I turned to Americas Next Top Model. The judges were lookin over Toccara's pics deliberating on whether she should countiue on.Two of the judges were saying basically that she was too big to be a model. I thought that was really wrong. However I realize that this is the common theme in this soiciety. I'm sure everyone knows about the steroids that have been going on in the NFL, MLB, WWE, as well as other organizations. Dont get me wrong steroids are bad for any sporting org. even if the results are predetermined. However its not just the org. fault. I feel some of this should be placed on the society that we live in. America doesnt want the WWE champ to be some big fat man. Vince McMahon knows that, and thats why John Cena is the champ. He's has been champ for 2 years. And thats largely due to the way he looks. My God, you're never going to see 600 pound Viscera as the WWE champ for 2 yrs.

As far as the female wrestlers go, every last one of them have breast implants. Why? Because that is what society thinks a woman should look like. Some of the same things can be said about the NFL and MLB. Even though its a sport, they still want people to watch their product. Thats the reason that a lot of those guys, especially in football, are muscular because that is what society wants. You can also look at the cheerleaders. Some of those women make Jenna Jameson look like crap. As I said before about the Toccara thing, thats the damn reason that there are some many females throwing up in the bathroom. Because society says that females have to wear a size 1 in order to be accepted. Personally I feel that is complete B.S. American socitey also says that males have to have 2 percent body fat in order to be accepted. When are we as a people going to stop looking at Brad Pitt and people like Paris Hilton as to what a person should look like.

Yes...all the way. We ALL have to accept the blame for ALL. Although corporations are the heavies, I would have agree to say they wouldn't have as much power if people were more united and switched onto Life, because we haven't been in the past, it definitely is the reason they are so powerful and I must say even I've been following the WWE since a kid and didn't think much of steroids until now. Without the fans blinded support and ignorance (with a "Not my problem" sort of attitude) they would've been halted by their own business conscious mind, and the name of the game in business and corporation is money, fame, and wealth. Well shouldn't we in turn make sure humanity is worth the most if not priceless (which it is anyway), shouldn't we hold these values dearly and never let go of such good morals...So where are they?
Then Corporation and business in the same could take good pride in making money as well as keeping the well-being of it's country/ies health and happiness.
These business types follow robotic methodical formula's, and it's up to us to show them how they can program for best results...honest feedback people...that's what they need.
So I do feel we're all to blame even if it is just in the least in a small way. I am pretty annoyed I didn't realise myself earlier.
By the way that's a Damned, Good Point ;)

Yeah, your are right. Society & shows on T.V. is to blame for the sex appeal things thats going on today. From men to women it affects a lot of them who are sensitive about the way they look. And society lets them down the most about how the way they look its heartshattering and sometimes bring out the psycho/crazy/mentally mad at the world for issues type people. I don't say that these people are right either, but something has to be done.

I disagree. Far too many people take the easy way and blame that vague entity known as society for their lack of judgment instead of placing the blame/responsibility/accountability where it belongs; squarely at the foot of the person who uses steroids in the first place.

I'd completely agree with everything you say - Western society is all about body image and how to achieve the perfect body.
First they give us fast food and then they tell us we are too fat.
Then they give us fast ways to look good (cosmetic surgery and slim pills and steroids) and then tell us that they only way to make a difference is through will power and hard work.
