There is no Sempron 3500+, but if you are referring to 3600+, it is better than Celeron D 330. However, the new Celeron 420/430/440 (Conroe L) is the best budget single core processor. More here:

There's no way to give you a useful answer if we don't know which processors we're comparing. The Core i5 and Core i7 are both processor lines that include a wide array of processors with vastly different capabilities. A high-end Core i5 will be faster than a low-end Core i7.

Seeing the AMD site:
http://www.amd.com/us-en/Corporate/VirtualPressRoom/0,,51_104_609,00.html?redir=CPPR01
There is no 3500+ Sempron on the pricelist.
Newgg isn't listing it either
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2+50001028+40000343+1050717289&name=Sempron+64
Same thing with the Celeron D 330. Newegg isnt selling it.

Why don't you buy the cheapest AMD X2? They are selling the 4000+ for just $73 !! Its a steal. Compared to the Sempron its way ahead in performance.

they are both like a fresh dog **** go with #1 get a core 2 duo, they are the best out there at the moment. If not, then get the pentium D, celerons are not good at all.

id say both are very bad, but to choose b/w them sempron definitely kicks celeron butt. seeing current processor prices u should at least go for a pentium dual core ( E21*0 series).

They're both pretty old tech, the celeron would be faster, but I like AMD better.

I wouldn't get either one. Get an Intel Core 2 Duo Model.
