Rivers would be my bet

If interceptions don't count then Rivers. Rivers has a much better supporting cast with Antonio Gates and a decent young receiving core in Jackson and Waters. While the Cardinals have a much lesser opponent in the 49ers versus the Bears I suspect Arizona will run the ball more even though Fitzgerald and Boldin are both decent receivers..

Leinart. He's throwing to two #1 receivers, and Nate Clements can only cover one of them(and he's not Champ Bailey, in spite of the pay-check, lemme tell ya). His offensive line is certainly shakier, but he's playing the 49ers. Rivers is playing the Bears. I'd go with Leinart, as I expect the Cards to put up a lot of points(the Niners too, for that matter), but expect the Bears-Chargers game to be more about attrition and field position...

I think Leinart is the better choice. Against the Bears I expect LT to be used a lot. I would be surprised if Rivers has a 300 yard game and more than 1 TD pass.

Leinart, on the other hand, I think will be throwing from the start. His chances of having a 300+ yard game and more TD passes is higher.

Two fun games

Philip Rivers because he has a better supporting cast to help him make the plays that will get you the statistics you want. Who does Matt Leinart have? A tired old Edgerrin James maybe.

Based off of last season, Philip Rivers. The Chargers are a more complete team. Rivers will have many more oppertunities.

Normally i would say Rivers, but because the Chargers play the bears and that D, i would pick Leinart in this weeks matchup

Rivers versus a tough Chicago D or Leinart versus a suspect SF D? I'd say Leinart

Well, Rivers is playing the Bears defense and Leinart is playing San Francisco and they are relatively equal in value (both are 3500 yard, 25 TD QBs), so you should go with Leinart based upon matchup.

I would start Rivers. More solid of a quarterback than Leinart and has more experience. Also has a better team to throw to/run with.

Leinart.

Hmmm, Rivers may have LT and Gates, but Leinart has Fitzgerald, Boldin, and Edge going against SF...I like that matchup.
