Well first I want to agree with Waadup and say most everyone who posted before hand is a cynical *** and they can't get over the fact that they work for a fast food joint and are jealous of ambition.
With that said, there are two ways, one will most definitely work better than the other. First is to go through school and play all that time. By doing that he can be scouted for college and then go on from there.
The other option is to try and make it as a walk on. Its very rare, but if he is good enough then he has a shot.

An interview how cute. Honey football players don't get interviews! They get scouted by first colleges, then drafted by the NFL. Only 1 in 5 players go to any professional team. If your boyfriend is serious and in high school tell him to hit the books, stay football focused, and have a goal. Also he needs to have a fall back career should this not happen for him. And girl good for you that you are supporting him! Good Luck!

Well, if he is a football player in HS, he has a 1 in 100 of making a college team. If he survives that, he has a 1 in 100 chance of making a pro roster.
Simply put, he has to be better than 99.9% of all of the other kids who play HS football. If he is that good, he will be found.

Jeeze, what a bunch of azz-holes!!
If he wants to try out and has no game experience, but is out of college, try an arena team, perhaps to get game footage of his skills. That might be enough to impress someone in the NFL.

It depends on how old he is.
He's gotta start at his level.
High school, College, Tyke, Mosquito, Pee-wee,
Midjet and so on. Thats where he'll be seen.
Unless he's got some pretty amazing talent.
Amazing enough to top 100 000 other guys and
go to traning camp directly.

I want to play in the NFL too. Oh, and I also want to be a huge rock star. I also want to have my own spaceship, like the ones in Star Trek. I'm also thinking it would be cool to look like Brad Pitt.
