My sister and I organised my niece's 8th b'day party - we had a disco theme, all the girls danced for hours to all the fav's - nutbush, chicken dance etc...
We also sprayed their hair, put crazy hair ties in their hair, put fake tattoos on them - they loved it! Good Luck

you should book it in a rollerskating rink! I remember having bday parties there and it was so memorable. Most of them have arcade games and such. If its princess themed, you should tell all the girls to dress up and come in costume. That would be fun. Also, there is a board game called "pretty pretty princess" and you get to put on fake jewelry its so fun. Kareoke is fun, but the machines are expensive. I dont know where you live, but they used to have a place called Discovery Zone and it was indoor, and full of ball pits and play material. It is HEAVEN to an 8 year old. Check it out, see if theyre still avaliable. Nails are fun, buy some cheap nailpolish at walmart and stickers for them. You must get a pinata! Those are awesome....awww i want to be 8 again. Hope I helped!

I just did my daughters 9 year birthday party a few weeks ago. There is a place here called SalonKids. We took her and 9 of her best friends there. They all got fashion makeovers and had a fashion show. The kids make necklaces and bracelets and listen to music while the stylelists do their thing. At the end they all get dressed up and haad a fashion show. The Salon takes pictures and they get to keep the things they make. It took about 2 hours then we came back to our house for pizza, cake, gifts, etc. It can get costly depending on what type of package you choose.
I dont know if you have something like that near you but my daughter had the best birthday party ever!
I would think that if you could get some "moms" or friends to help out, you could do this at home yourselves to save some money. Just buy some makeup and get some things to do their hair. Music is easy. You can do a theme and buy some dress up clothes or have each child bring their own?
We all arrived at the salon and it was a surprise party for my daughter. I have to tell you, the one dowfall is I have no clue how I am going to top it next year?!?!?!
Anyway, best of luck and I hope your cousin has an awesome birthday!
P.S. If you check out my myspace page, I think I have a picture or two up there of my daughter from the party.
