Remember that children grow into the names they are given. Sad to say, while it's a "wannabe unique" name, it's one that you'd think a girl who sleeps around would have. really, really think about it

If the girl has BEAUTIFUL light, almost bleach blonde hair that is silky and straight, or wavy, or beautiful curls, and crystal blue eyes, then yes, it would be a good name. But it sounds almost as if somebody is trying too hard for a name. Imagine it:
"Hey Aqua, how was your day at school?"
"Aqua, come play jumprope with us!"
"Aqua, please read your speech to the class."
"Aqua! Your here!"
Its sounds too over-done...Its like somebody acting over dramatic. Its too much for a name. I dont really like any aquatic names, I wish I did. I dont really like Pearl, or Shelly, or Aqua, Aquamarine, or any. I dont know why...
Its like naming your daughter after a fruit, or a color. Thats like naming her Fuchsia, or Magenta, or Indigo. You just dont. Name your fish Aqua, not your daughter.

I think a name has more meaning than just a name, and it is what you the mom, and the dad like that matters most of all. Cause many times names that are " not so" common, grow on you, and if there is a special meaning behind it, then your child will love it to. They'll be unique and thats something special. Best of luck!

cool name. There was a group Aqualong ago. And when I was a teenager I fell in love with the girl of that group and first, I thought HER name was Aqua not the name of the group. And when I heard AQUA I blushed because I thought of HER.

it's cute for a baby name but when she grows up, it just sound silly. I mean, imagine when she's sixteen and a friend( or enemy) holler her name: Aqua! Aqua! Aqua!, see what i mean? it doesn't sound as cute as an adult.

While the word itself not only looks but sounds pretty, I really don't think that it would be the best thing to name a human being. Maybe a fish, but not a person.

G'day loverface,
Thank you for your question.
I would give it some thought before I gave it to the girl. While it is unique, it might lead to teasing given its association with water and the color.
If you and your partner like it, you could think about it but give the baby a more conventional name if she doesn't like it when she gets a bit older.
Regards

That's a terrible name for a little girl. If my parents named me that, I would literally count down the days until I was old enough to legally change it.

Different, but I wouldn't use it. Why does it matter as long as you are happy with the name you pick out. Seems a little impersonal doing it this way.
