What a dispicable, pathetic human being. I consider such women exploiters of children, and there is no lower form of life on this planet. I can't imagine what a sad, twisted person would use an innocent child to try to force someone to love her. I would immediately terminate my friendship with her and of course inform the man of her intentions. Women like her shame our entire gender and are the root cause of this world's problems.

There are some people who actually think that this is an uncommon occurrence. Contrary to popular political correctness advocates this is not an urban myth. Even in Our enlightened day and age there are still many Females who will go so far as to entrap "Their" Man. Ask any Community Nurse about the number of times We are confronted by this scandalous behavior each year and You will be shocked beyond belief. It is kept quiet for a number of reasons, most of which are to do with protecting the innocent.
This particular 'crime' lies somewhere between blackmail and extortion, yet is still considered by many Women to be a legitimate way to 'win' a husband.
Logic, common decency and natural justice dictate that You (anyone) with information about a plot of this nature MUST bring it to the attention of the Man in question, His immediate Family and the appropriate authorities.

This actually happened to my brother-in-law, and it ended in disaster. They married, lived together for about 2 weeks, and the child (who is now 25) is totally messed up because he knows no one wanted him. He bounced from one set of grandparents, aunts, and uncles to another and never had a balanced home life. Everyone physically abused him, and no one loved him. His father says he loves him, but was never around to raise him, and because my brother-in-law is an alcoholic, when he is with his son, he does nothing but criticize him.
My nephew is a thief and has a gambling addiction and has never held a job.
If I heard a friend say that she was planning on doing this to a man, I would relate this story and tell her she was a fool. You can lead a horse to water, as they say. This is no way to start a loving marriage.
Edit: No, Fraxinus, it is not an Urban Myth. My sister-in-law was pregnant for 14 months! That's because she lied and told my brother-in-law that she was pregnant BEFORE she really was! This is not as uncommon as you think. Ashliegh has it right, and those of us in the medical community and in education see more of this than you'd like to believe.

I have a choice to pick my friends and no friend of mine would say that!
it's wrong childish and inmoral.
However if one of my friends said that I would call her out on it and tell her man! in front of her too and tell him to be careful!

then tell her just because you have a baby don't men that the man will be there! your going to have to wait untill the baby is born and have blood work! keep in mind this cost a lot and then court stuff if she wants money takes time and cost!!! And if she wants to do it alone cuz i'm not going to be there for her because it is wrong. and then end the friendship and make it an hi and by thing or if i see you i won't be mean but i will not go out of my way to say hi ect...

Does this really happen? I've heard this but I've honestly never seen it happen or heard anyone say this? I would of course tell her she is crazy and tell the guy- not for his sake but for the child's. I couldn't care less if a woman or a man that irresponsible screws their own life up, but I would do anything I could to prevent a child from being brought into their mess.

Anyone who chooses to have sex chooses to risk creating a child!!! It's that simple.

I would definitely slap her in the face, sit her down and have a talk with her. Then I would inform the man she was with. This is not the behavior of a woman, this is the behavior of a girl that has not been taught properly. she needs some serious counseling.

Oh, I would rat her out in a heartbeat! And reconsider her as a friend. I can't think of anything much more selfish than bringing a child in to this world "to save a relationship" or "because I want someone to love me". That poor child could be in the center of some DEEP issues!

BTW I have seen girls IN HIGH SCHOOL pull this...

I would give her a piece of my mind(I don't like women that do that), write her off as a friend, and warn the man she was planning on trapping.

I'd scold her for bringing a child into the world unto two such moronic parents. Only the most messed up of women would consider that. And, only the most messed up of men would consider sleeping with such a woman. Pity the child.

Have never heard any woman say something like this, and if a female friend of mine did(which is unlikely to happen, because it hasn't happened yet in my 34 years here) then I'd have to do the right thing and quietly warn the man about what was happening and for him to please be careful. And I would too.
